Department of Logic

Department of Logic of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, formerly the First Department of Philosophy, is one of the departments – founders of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, institutions moved to Toruń from Vilnius. It was established in a new place on October 1, 1945 as the 1st Department of Philosophy of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, and by a decree of June 14, 1951, it was transformed into the Department of Logic. From 2019, Department of Logic was incorporated into the structures of the Institute of Philosophy of the Nicolaus Copernicus University.
